The Center for Mindful Learning represents something extraordinary–a residential community where people do long-term, monastic-style practice as they train to become community mindfulness teachers. CML brings together the best of two worlds: an intensive training environment combined with a systematic, fully modern version of mindfulness.

Shinzen Young

I have joined CML each of the last two summers and my experience has been profound. My meditations have reached new depths of equanimity. I treasure CML’s uncompromising teachings and their compassion for the world.

Maintaining our programs costs thousands of dollars every month. If you find value in what we do, please consider becoming a Supporting Member with a recurring monthly donation of your choosing.

Tell me more!

We create leaders who embody wisdom, power and love through extensive mindfulness training in our residential program. We also work to nurture you and the worldwide community to increase wisdom, power and love in everyday life through school programs, community outreach and an extensive collection of teachings and inspiration on our website and Facebook.

Thanks to community support and grants from organizations such as the 1440 Foundation and Vermont Community Foundation, we have served many people from all walks of life since 2011.

We need your support to continue this important work. Here are some ways to help:

  • $10 buys two days of food for one resident: four bowls of rice and beans, two small servings of salad, two small portions of fruit and four cups of tea.
  • $20 buys enough gas to get one CML van to and from our Sunday Sit in Burlington.
  • $50 rents the sitting space for one month for five residents during formal seated mindfulness training. Each resident completes an average of 181 hours of formal meditation each month. $50 supports a total of 905 hours of mindfulness training.
  • $100 pays to keep our Modern Mindfulness for schools application running for one month, bringing mindfulness to thousands of students each day.

Join us as we create a happier and more successful world.
